Thank you for your reply. They already had my interrest with their dual driver setup, and you've just made it worse so... I've ordered one biggrin.gif

Do they go very deep with this driver configuration?

Dude, go for the SZ2000. The M500 isn't really anything special.

LOL those nice beefy JVC or some horrible plasitic on ear thing... Hmmm difficult decision

So you've heard it already?! Hmm. I was pretty set on the m500 but now I'm leaning towards the JVC.

Just the comfort would decide it for me before even hearing them. The KEF looks horrible

Err...the M500 is made of leather and aluminum

If I'd be worried about the build of either without touching being able to hold either before buying them, I'd be more worried about the SZ2000, going by how susceptible to cracking their flagship DX1000 was. I'm hoping JVC used nicer plastics for the SZ2000.

Still, I'm more interested in this than the M500, but Beagle's impressions of the M500 have me tempted. Also, they actually seem like they'd be rather comfortable with the thick padding and twisty hinge

Well ok but the shape / design... big over ear pads vs some weird square on ear design... The latter is obviously going to sound worse.

Not necessarily. I'd bank on the M500 sounding more accurate and faster, but I'm pretty sure that's not the point of the SZ2000. They're catering to completely different markets.

Maybe more accurate and faster but I bet they have a bad soundstage and not very good bass, depends what you are looking for... But then I am not sure why you are comparing two completely different headphones

Do you actually bother to use your ears to make any decision?

LOL! ;-)

Makes you wonder huh?

Anyway, I'm surprised that, according to tracking, mine are already in New York!!!! (from Japan!)

Quite fast I'd say!

Can't wait.

Oh, and I "re-ordered" one of my faves, Denon D5000 BUT with the Lawton Level 3 installed!

I'm going to be quite busy in the next few weeks! ;-)

No because as I just said I could not wear a on ear like that and the comfort would decide it before even trying them. Also I can tell that they would not be the sound I am looking for just from the design.

Cool! And depending on your review, it might end up being 5 out of 7 :)
