Buggy script crashing browsers

Does the HF team test ad scripts or do they blindly get thrown up when the check clears ?

Safari, iPad, iPhone....PC, IE, Firefox...doesn't matter freeze and crash....you do realize this is undoubtedly effecting your precious traffic stats right ?

Seeing as that I don't think I was given the attention last time I brought it up, I'll bring it up here as well.

I would like to add that the picture viewer (when clicking on a picture to pop it out) freezes up safari (latest version) on OSX 10.7.

I have not tried other browsers, nor do I want to.

Thanks for reporting the issues you're having with browsers freezing.  I'm filing this information in a ticket so the tech team has more information to investigate with.

I'm having the same problem. I just joined this forum yesterday and I'm mainly on my iPad using Safari. My browser freezes and then crashes about 1/3 times I come here. It usually happens when I view a thread then press the back button. The problems getting really frustrating b/c it closes all my other pages I'm viewing on Safari.

I started noticing this about a week, maybe two, ago. Safari on IPad crashes when returning from a page. Happens in private and non-private mode.

Do you guys plan on addressing this...?...the site is virtually unviewable on the iPad, you do know right...?

How about I put it in terms that tend to alarm site owners...these crappy script driven ads are costing you eyeballs...that means the site is/will LOSE REVENUE !

Kthxbi

You just have to master not using the back button. I have it down pat.

Not an acceptable solution IMO...weak programmers should be held accountable...user experience should not have to be compromised to accommodate shoddy work...

As I was subject to attack on another web-site I went through many browsers and security programs . All failed Many big names.

I now use a Russian browser and a Russian protection program Not Kasperski    [as used by businesses]  The browser has built in virus protection and the protection program [until I stopped it displaying]

Shot up a script virus protection balloon.every time I clicked  You would be surprised at the number of high profile sites that do this some "big shot" names so I wouldnt be too hard on Head-Fi

There are worse than them. I dont have a problem here on Head-Fi.

I just used the back button 10x on my iPad and it didn't freeze. Yay!

Speaking of iPad. Last week I could post pictures from my photos. Now I can't.

Edit: just crashed but it's better than it was

RadioKing59 - Which iPad and what iOS version are you running on it?

I'd like to report an issue as well. In firefox, closing a tab takes a lot of time, almost a second to respond. It only happens with head-fi pages. Haven't seen it in other browsers (yet).

Firefox 20.0.1

Linux
