KEF new headphones! - Page 40

There have been mixed impressions on isolation, but I found it about average. Pretty good for an on-ear, but not quite as good as HD25 for example.

DT1350's are more aggressive sounding, M500's are more laid back. High frequency extension is quite amazing; very even across the whole sound spectrum.

Ditto for everything blueangel said.  I would say HD25 has a good bit more isolation.  M500 isolation is average for me too.

Such a beautiful girl you have there as your profile pic =)

All these positive impressions of the KEFs make my wait unbearable, hopefully I'll have mine on monday or tuesday..

I really would not use them on a 'subway'.

Because of noise isolation or other issues? Let me know because I am really close to buying these and I'm on the "subway" 2 hours every day.

Not enough isolation for the subway plus they could get knocked loose.

What he said. Even if the fit was better I do not consider this category suitable to compete against train engines and especially when the sound is reverberating inside a tunnel. IEM all the way. Or noise cancelling if you cannot get on with IEM

Didn't you know, listening to music makes certain "activities" even better? wink.gif

Yeah, especially those activities that include your wife to be! very_evil_smiley.gif

I strongly recommend to get a different phone than the M500 for the subway. Isolation is mediocre..I even get more isolation from the TH900 which is semi closed..
