I'm also a user of gr07 and have been looking for an upgrade, i have considered getting the 1964v3 too.

The elpis just isn't the upgrade to it.

The quantity of the sub-bass is alot too much for me,  the quality is fine though.

Also, highs at the 5-7khz range were dampened.

It doesn't sound harsh, but still airy (:.
It is still bright though.

Overall this is a V Shape IEM.

Looking for a balance or warm sound? (This is not for you).

Strongly recommend the non bass port version.

V shaped is balanced. I think the word you are looking for is neutral.

I assume since you've tried the demo your a Singaporean? How about the stage93 trio! Looks like something around the same price and specs as the 1964 V3

Is this demo the equivalent of purchasing this Hybrid as a universal? I just ran up a quote for a set with colored faceplates, clear shells, Rooth logos, recessed sockets - and before shipping it was only $235 - not bad for a Custom/Universal Hybrid - that is of course, if it sounds good.

I would guess that it is yes but i will double check. That is not a bad price at all.

Have you guys also seen the upcoming Elpis 3? 10mm dynamic with two BA and tuneable bass, should be interesting!

Anyone got them yet? Maybe can post some pics or short impressions for the benefit of those waiting for delivery?

Wow, very interesting. It's now 300SGD I think.

ANy comparisons to the new Atrios (seems like a similar V-shaped signature)? Especially in the subbass department? For me the Atrios had a harh upper midrange (but no sibilance) - what's the case with the Elpis here? Where can you purchase the universal version (the link on the first post shows only the custom)?

Elpis sounds so much better after 200 hours of burn in... More coherent and smoother bass etc..
Finally someone who has gotten it... Does the bass ease out with burn in? Or is it still very strong?
