I have recently bought a pair of t5p and have noticed that it comes with a aluminium transport case instead of the small portable felt carry case. While I do prefer the aluminium case that I have, I've also noticed that mine has a straight jack as opposed to a right angled headphone jack that came with the felt carry case. Could there be a possibility that the actual cables are of difference quality between the two? Can anybody confirm whether both versions are identical sounding? Any feedback would be much appreciated.

I found out in another thread ( can't find it now ) that there were two versions released. The first came with a felt carrying case, the second came with a bag (leather?) and metal box, along with an upgraded cable. Beyer reported that the sound is the same.
