Trade V-Moda M80 for Beats **UPDATE**

Will Ship To: CONUS

Yes, I'm looking to trade my M80 for a pair of Beats Solo HD or Studio.

Yes, I know this is head-fi.

My 12 year old nephew really want a pair of beats and I rather see him happy than educate him about headphones.

I had it for about 6 months and it's well used but still in great shape. Comes complete with everything

There's no cosmetic flaws that I can see. I stop using it a few months ago when I got my S500.

I also put up an ad on craigslist so I'll update this ad if it's been traded.

UPDATE:

I found a pair of solo for pretty cheap on craigslist so I no longer need it.

I'm open to trading for an AKG K167 or Crossfade LP2, maybe a M50 if it's the white or limited edition.

I'll leave this ad open for a week, if no one's interested than I'll close it and keep the M80.

Sold on Craigslist

The guy never show up so I'm just gonna keep it.

He doesn't want it.

Buy him a fake Beasts, both of them is horrible sounding anyway, by the time he can compare the two sound, he will realize the value of the M80.

I can confirm that the fake pros sound better than the real studios. They sound remarkably close to the stanton DJ pro 3000 & mdr v700 and still look and feel like beats.

I'm pretty sure those cost about 50$ for the old and ~120$ for the revamped new version from china. they're pretty much identical to the real thing aside from a few extremely minor differences.

I'm buying him beats, I don't want to add another negative by buying a knock off. Beside, he'll be upset with me if he found out it was fake. My guess is it's more of a status symbol for him right now.

I'm just going to let him get it out of his system, he's a smart kid, he'll realize he can do better and move on to better headphones.

I updated the first post, I'm no longer looking for a pair of beats.

Interesting thread, I do feel it is easier to buy a nephew what they want - they don't want to be educated, they just want what they want. I had the Beats Solos HDs and thought they were awesome until I heard the M50s. After the M50 I sold the Beats on Amazon. Beats do have that "X" factor that no other brand has. For me it was the Beats headphone that got me started on the headphone craze and I've spent a lot of money on the quest for perfect sound. Beats never again - I love my HiFiMan HE-500s.
