advice on cans for asus xonar essence one?

Hi all, noob here!

As the topic title implies i am on the lookout for a pair of cans for the asus xonar essence one.

I want to go all out on this one... so considering what the xonar essence is capable of sound-quality-wise, what's "the max" that you can recommend pairing up with it?

As for musical and sound preferences... I like electronic music mainly. The likes of Kraftwerk, Tangerine Dream... but also newer techno stuff.

So "dry" and crisp bass and trebble is appreciated as well as an airy, spacious midrange with a "wide" sound for those floating synths.

Apart from that i like jazz and singer-songwriter stuff... So they should also be good at that.

Any kind of advice would be appreciated...

Wrong section.

You don't need to 'pair' a headphone with a soundcard. Get a headphone that you like (look through the headphone section).

I'm not an expert by any means but I'm not sure this is entirely true. I don't know how much power the Xonar's headphone amp has, but it might not be a great pairing with a set of 600-Ohm Beyer T1s for instance.
