EDIT: NOW OFFICIAL!! Link inside.

http://en-de.sennheiser.com/broadcasting-headphones-studio-recording-stage-hd-26-pro

At the Frankfurt, Germany Pro Light and Sound today. (EDIT: Found a video!) (edit2 next vid now in english)

Asked for a broshure but they where all out of them. It is basically a HMD-26 without the mic. I really liked it, and it sounded very nice to my ears. Better than the 25 or Beyers 1350 which I feel has a tin can sound of sorts.

I really want that HD-26 PRO, but I can't even find it on the web? Anyone know whats going on or is this thing so brand new?

I'm interested, but...there's no information of them online. What did they sound like?

Look up HMD-26 to get an idea, probably.

Sounded like the HMD-26.

Close to the 25s, but for the lack of better words: Cleaner. It totally blew the Beyerdynamic 1350 out of the water.

I can't understand a word, but here is a short video review of the exact headphones I tried.

Awesome feature: Built in coil for reducing cable microphonics!

They are not announced officially and even Sennheisers rep told me he was astounished that they were presented at the pro light and sound. I've auditioned it too and think they are sort of an more audiophiliac HD25 and outperform the dt1350 by far ( but I even liked the HD25 more). I forget to ask what their price will be. Does anybody know?

I can't quite tell if the cable is removeable or not, though even if it were it looks like yet another proprietary connector.

I wonder if the built-in-limiters are basically just diodes.

I don't recall the cable. By the way, I love the name you've chosen, verry original.

HMD-26 can come in 600 ohm version? LOL

At least they are crazy efficient according to specs: http://en-us.sennheiser.com/professional-headset-tv-radio-broadcast-hmd-26

Some of those specs say the cable is XLR... with some accessories saying 3, 4, or even 5 pin blink.gif I'm guessing this is a full sized xlr going into the cup? Can't really tell from those pics.

Thanks. It's been my screen name for many years now (wow, almost twenty years...)

Calculating for db per 1mW... it works out to roughly 105 db / 1mW for both the 100 ohm and 600 ohm versions. That's pretty good.
