Purchasing Schiit Magni to power HD 650, question on which wires to MOTU Track 16 Interface and...

Hey, I decided to go with the Schiit Magni to power my HD 650 (if anyone has another recommendation (under $170-180)  I'm all ears) However, which cables would I need to go ahead and buy so that I could connect this to my MOTU Track 16 audio interface?

Also if I plan on going portable sometimes, I will not be taking my MOTU Track 16 with me (but will if it can run the HD 650's without an amp). So which cables would I need to connect my HD 650 -> Magni -> Straight into the Macbook Pro.

I plan on Mixing with these headphones whenever I'm away from my monitors.

Thanks for taking the time in helping me!

I haven't purchased the Magni either, but what would you recommend between a Magni or a E12 in terms of powering up the HD 650?

and if you say E12, which wires would I need to buy to connect to the devices listed above?

Thanks again!

Well both should give decent results but it comes down to this question: desktop amp or portable amp. For the Magni, you will need a 3.5mm to RCA. For the E12, only a male 3.5 to male 3.5 will do the trick.

Well pretty much my set up goes like this.

I have BM5A studio monitors for during the day mixing, and when everyone's asleep I will be using the HD 650's.

I also do a lot of my work outside of home at the library and so on, just away from distractions where I will be using my HD 650's. So essentially yeah, an amp that is portable would be great.

That being said, the MOTU Track 16 audio interface I have is pretty portable too (has a firewire connection also) Would I even need an amp if I have the MOTU? or would the MOTU not produce enough power for the HD 650's?

Thanks for the reply btw!

I have my motu track 16 line out connected  to a JDSLabs C5 and running my Westone Es5 or ED8. The Lineout + C5 does a better job than the phones out of the track 16, better clarity.
