Provides a very interesting way to listen to music, not necessarily better. Has anyone else tried it?

Tried it and several similar apps...I used to love them, but I find that software EQ (how all of these apps work) takes away some of the clarity with higher end gear. Also, I find they tend to have issues with lock screen integration, in-line controls, etc.

Yep, I feel ya. It's still interesting to see the effect that such eq models have on the overall listening experience.

I just happened to download this today as I was looking around the app store. it was free.

I found the out of head, crossfeed type sound effect to be pretty good. But there was just too much loss of clarity for me to use it full time. The more robust hardware crossfeed units I've used do not distort the sound this much. Pretty much all the treble feels artificially crispy and echo-y.
