Heh... Schiit stack... Yeah, I definitely like the look and the reviews. This and the ODAC+O2 have the most votes... nobody wants to defend the FiiO combo? Or maybe criticize it?

So you recommend the O2 amp over the rest?

I haven't heard the Schiit Magni, but it is apparently compared favorably with the O2. The O2 would be more transportable and has battery power, but I wouldn't describe it as portable, play it out of your pocket. A little too big for that. But if you travel and you want to listen to in your hotel room, then the O2.

Why not consider ARCAM rPAC or Audinst HUD-MX1/2? These are small and easy to move around, you don't need any dedicated power source for them.

I've been using rPAC together w/ my Grados in office, quite like the sound. Had the Dragonfly before, felt it's not a good match to my MS1. I like to pair rPAC together with Grados better.

I really like the look of the Audinst HUD-MX1/2. Almost perfect for what I'm looking for (desktop amp/DAC with knob and RCA outs for speakers). Plus I can get it off Amazon.

I really like the look of the Maverick TubeMagic D1 as well.

I appreciate all the help, everyone. I'll be among all of you nerds in due time! I'm surprised nobody has anything to say about the FiiO combo though...

fiio is great for portability and it has tone shaping (eg. bass and treble) which none of the others have

They have treble EQ's? I didn't know that, actually. I knew they had bass boost options, and I won't lie, I'm kind of a basshead...
