Used Audio-Technica AD900 with broken plastic part (see pics)

Will Ship To: Anywhere

Hello fellow head-fiers. My favorite AD900 headphone ever all of a sudden had a plastic piece that broke yesterday. I have always taken good care of these but I am thinking that putting these on a headphone stand long-term may have caused this. Now I don't know what to do. I either repair them or sell as is to someone who would know what to do. The ear cups are flawless but as you may know, the wings on these get dirty and the pads too. The person getting them would have to repair the plastic piece over the left cup and change the pads. These still work and stand though. Do they sell these parts anywhere? Is anyone willing to grab these? Own these since 2006 and these were my favorite headphones by far so so they have had thousands of hours on them.

Here are pictures.

AT has a parts dept you can try to speak with.

Dave Webb from AT US said it would cost around 50 plus shipping. He says it'S hard to repair this part of the headphone... That means shipping them to the US (15 dollars) + shipping them back (15 dollars).... not really worth it for a 180 dollar headphone...

try using some super glue..

since its just outer plastic piece that came out

i don't think that will harm your speakers
