They look exactly like them. Whether they straight up plagiarized AIAIAI or not people will naturally assume that they did. Seems like a really stupid thing to do.

I haven't heard these yet, but I'm kind of bothered by the potential comfort issue - and those flimsy springs. It might be a good idea for the maker to address these issues.

The spring is a cable for the drivers. Unless you take scissors to them, I think they are fine.

Eh, as long as it sounds good, don't really mind it looks similar to TMA-1 as TMA looks great.

Were you able to stop by, 3XO?

I've certainly got my eye on these. Hoping for more and more information as we get closer to the funding deadline, before I jump in.

When it was mentioned, I thought there would be some similarities, but except for the wood cups, these things are an exact copy, even that little pigtail looking wires.

I'm all for supporting them, so I hope they drop by and say something about it

Maybe same people or they bought the design or something, is that even possible?

either way I left a message in the kickstarter page asking the same

Hopefully they WONT sound anything like the TMA-1s...

Wondering if they have units on a store (available for demo?)

i find it worrying when i look at the earpad design. exactly how anyone on the face of this earth can comfortably acommodate to it?

but then if the sound quality is really convincing, it will have my vote.

I might say the same thing about Grado's cushions:).

^this.
But do they have the magic joe-Grado sound?

I might bite toward the end if they raise enough.

I second this.  Pitch Black is not a sound. wink_face.gif

Doesn't seem like there is any real concrete description of the sound, or driver technology, of these headphones that us audiophiles could digest. I wouldn't bother with anything until people here have reported back some real impressions.

And yes, these blatantly plagiarize a lot from the design of AIAIAI TMA-1's, that might pull them into legal trouble later on down the road, or it might not, depending on AIAIAI.
