Being someone who's born and raised in Hawaii I grew up with the Pineapple. It was at one time one of the state's major cash crop export along with sugar. Those days are long gone since both Pineapple and sugar are exported cheaper from foreign countries. Many of the former Pineapple and sugar fields now in Hawaiian islands has been converted to cultivating other crops or developed into new residential communities. Active Pineapple and sugar harvesting can be found on small plantations on Maui, Lanai, and Kauai. I do like locally grown Pineapple over the ones grown in foreign countries as they are sweeter. It's not such a bad fruit when compared to Durian, how people can get over it's smell and texture is beyond me.
As far a vodka is concerned, Russian Standard Platinum for me.
