Moved to Full Sized Headphone Recommendations Thread

Thread Starter

I want to get one to eventually use on the PS4 when it comes out.  I currently have Grado SR80i's and they've been great to me for over 2 years.

Should I get them now or by the time the PS4 comes out there will be a better one?

I don't know the release schedule but I feel like even if I get one now, there won't be a MUCH BETTER one at the end of this year.

Thank You.

If you can stretch your budget 30$, I would recommend the UE9000, excellent sound and raving reviews. They can be had for 300, especially if you shop around.

You could just use a 3.5mm to USB adapter. That's what I use to play games on my ps3, and I imagine the ps4 will have similar capabilities.

You could also check out the Harmon Kardon BT, I just picked up a pair and I'm liking them quite a bit so far, both wired and Bluetooth.

I want it to free up  ports whether they be USB, 3.5mm or whatever.

And also to easily connect to other devices (smart TVs, PC) and move around wherever I want without worrying about cords anywhere.

Please keep giving me recommendations, and thanks for the existing ones!

I can definitely stretch my budget to $300 if it's really worth it.

Well, there's one on amazon in like new condition for $295

http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/B0094S37GS/ref=sr_1_1_olp?ie=UTF8&qid=1364357470&sr=8-1&keywords=UE9000&condition=used

It won't be up there for long. They are excellent headphones.

There's something odd about those.  I looked at their product description and they're advertised as iOS headphones, for making iPhone calls and such.  Not really an emphasis on home use.

Maybe this is just simply stating it works well for those devices.  So I'll look into getting it.  At new price.  If it's worth it.  Is it?

If so, I'll consider getting it as my number 1.  Unless there are more?

Also, I updated my price point.

Thanks Again!
