Those are pretty easy to drive so the E6 should be fine, and it does have bass boost.

Will it clarify? How about increase frequency range? Reduce static?

That's what a DAC is for, and this is I much rather have you save up for the E07K with a build-in DAC as an AMP alone won't help you clean up your signals.  This is specially true for notebook and laptops with their tight integration of electronics as you are bounded to get a lot of on board noise, and hooking it up with an AMP will just make matters worse.

You don't have to buy it now, just earn money and save up, because I have a feeling that you won't be happy with the E6 sooner or later.

Neither the E5 nor the E11 has a DAC inside, but the E07K or the E17 does.  However, both the E5 and E6 are very similar.

p.s. what IEMs you are using, and if they are not that good then there is no point on getting an AMP/DAC.

E11 is really good for what it is..I like my Asus Xonar DG for my desktop computer it is excellent for the price..and in your budget for a computer amp..

The problem is that his actual budget is only $40 and it has to work with an iPod and laptop...

Is the E07K a DAC and an amp? And no my iems aren't to great but I might get a pair of klipsch image s4. I don't even really need an amp but I will in the future.

I'm in a similar predicament as you are. I'm looking for a cheap DAC and amp. The E07K is both a DAC and an amp and it's the device I've decided to settle with. You'll be able to use it with a portable audio player as an amp and then as a DAC/amp combo with your laptop.
