Auralic has unveiled that it's certainly making something new:

I would assume they are teasing the Aries. It is supposed to be launching soon

I also thought Aries the moment I saw that. Aries was supposed to be $999 initially, and then they recently mentioned a premium version for $1600 or so. I hear the actual case is surprisingly compact so keep that in mind when you look at this picture.

What else is known about the Aries?

I think that's about the extent of it. The ComputerAudiophile thread seems to have the most info, including a few guest appearances from Wang Xuanqian of AURALiC to answer questions. It's worth a read, especially the last few pages.

Actually,I've done some homework on this topic. I've read a lot of postings and the reviews on the HE6 and the Taurus II, however I would I like to hear from actual owners of both to gain more perspective beyond the reviewers.

There will be two Aries models.

The Deluxe will be $1600 and the LE will be $999.

The Deluxe will have an upgraded PSU, Femto Clock and be of very low noise design.

I look forward to getting my Aries Deluxe to pair with my AURALiC Vega and Synology NAS.

I think I'm going to get a Taurus too. for my headphone amp.  Why not?!?!

I picked up my Taurus MK 2 yesterday for my LCD-3's and I have no complaints accept what took me so long? I really like this amp. Someone should review it on headfi but I notice that there's no listing for Auralic products under the amp review section. Why is this? It is certainly a wonderful piece and I've personally gone through several medium  to high end amps in the past few years.

There have been many reviews all very positive. I believe the review in Inner Fidelity is done by Project86 who reviews a lot of equipment on this forum (I hope I'm right that it's the same gentleman). Here is a link:

If you just got it let it cook for a few days and you will find it opens up a lot. Even after one day you will notice and improvement.

After only 20 hours or so burning in this amp sounds really good. CD's I've given up as bad recordings sound good now. I did not expect this much improvement over my Edwards Audio HA-2 which was a big improvement over my old Ray Samuels HR-2. I guess that's what upgrading is about. I'm having fun. Anyone make a comparison between the Vega dac and a PS Audio Perfectwave PWD2? I own the Perfectwave PWT and PWD2 and it sounds quite nice. Just curious how the Vega compares to the PWD2. They are similarily priced or at least they were before the price of the PWD2 went down.

Anyone happen to have Alpha Dogs and the Taurus MkII?  That's the setup I'm thinking about to go along with my AURALiC Vega.

Personally I buy my AURALiC components from Sonare Coeli.  http://www.sonarecoeli.com/  Nigel is a great guy and very easy to deal with.

I got mine from Echo Audio in Portland Oregon. This is my second purchase through them and they are fantastic.

Nice! Thanks, guys! Taurus is probably in my future. Just waiting to see how the ragnarok turns out first...
