Fiio E17, a pesky warranty sticker

Just picked up a used Fiio E17 from Amazon. Right out of the box I noticed a large "WARRANTY VOID IF REMOVED" sticker affixed to the back of the product. I do not notice this sticker on a lot of other users' E17 and I was wondering if anyone knew whether or not it is safe to remove this sticker?

It's likely for a store warranty, to stop you from opening it. I'm fairly confident that FiiO will still honor the warranty-never seen another one with that sticker.

Cool, I think I'll go ahead and take this ugly sticker off now then!

You'll probably find a lot of VOID VOID VOID left behind in glue after you peel it. biggrin.gif

But they clean off as well.

Yeah, it left a bunch of little 'VOID VOID..' residue on the back... which initially freaked me out! I just took a little bit of Goo-Gone and rubbed it off no problem.

Goo-Gone is the Schiit for sure, but it doesn't like plastic. Or so a friend found out using it on VCR tape swaps back in the day. They had the same security label. biggrin.gif

And that is why metal amps are the Schiit.
