Comparative clarity of the Stax SR-207

Is the clarity/voice intelligability of the SR-207 better than all non-electrostatic headphones?

In my experience, no.  The HD800 was significantly better to my ears.  Really surprised me because I didn't realize any headphones could touch electrostatic / Stax until I listened to the HD800 and some of HiFiMan heaphones in the last year.  There are also some IEM which I think have better clarity than the 207.
