Need help choosing a new DAP!

Hello Everyone,

 

I need help from those who are much more knowledable with DAPs. Im looking at buying a new one DAP with more of a Audiophile focus. I have a budget of around $400, so have narrowed it down to Hisound Studio V or HifiMan HM-601. What do you guys think? Any suggestions?

if you have 400, would it better to upgrade to 602/603?  other option would be cowons player like the j3 or the x9

Is there a big difference between the HM-601 and HM-602 besides USB DAC?

there is a component difference iirc , and internal memory , headfonia have a comparison between this two, and all i remember is that they have a different sound

Wait for the Fiio X3. It will be $200, have line+coaxial out, almost every file format is compatible, can take up to 64gb of additional flash memory, will play up to 24/192,  and you can spend the other $200 on a decent amp, headphones, or bacon if you like. The X3 thread has new photos and it looks like a winner.
