I meant more that they're a very strange headphone, not necessarily in a bad way.

I wish there was a way to know what current headphone will end up being the super rare and desirable headphone of the future. wink.gif

Considering an iPod won't output nearly enough power to blow any pair of headphones, even ones as efficient as the Beats Pros, I highly doubt they were blown. In addition, since when did more volume=better sound? This type of stuff might impress kids at school, but one headphone playing louder than another does not constitute "owning" the other pair.
My bad, forgot to mention he played them through my fiio. And bass and loudness seems to be everything to them. My friend loves his fake beats because they just play bass. Lol

Beats are fashion and they did a great service to the headphone market. Imagine they were good looking AND goos sounding omg how this would screw up all the haters ^^.

But they're not.

If they were good looking and good sounding, they would be well accepted by everyone at Headfi provided they had reasonable value.

No way in hell am I paying insane amounts for looks and sound that can be met by lower priced alternatives unless they were built on esoteric tech like electrostats and so on.

If they were good looking and good sounding, they would be universally celebrated on Head-Fi for introducing millions of people to good headphones in a way they can understand and enjoy.

They didn't.
