Not sure...but I will find out and report back. Stay tuned.

I know Tralucent (Gavin) has a Non-magnetic TRRS straight plug that he can fit to his cables (I have one), but I don't know if the plug (Ranko Acoustics?) is available elsewhere?

jamato, Here ya go:

http://www.aliexpress.com/item/5-pcs-lot-Ranko-Black-3-5mm-4-Tracks-Stereo-Audio-Male-Plug-2-Tail-Cuff/1509259090.html

I have used AliExpress before: Easy to use, Great communication.

I'm still waiting on "is it magnetic" for an answer. It would be better for tight space since it's right angled. I'll let you know...

Great. That would make a good right angle connector, though I would lose the housing and use heat shrink but that is just my preference as it is even lower profile and almost no bulk.

I would like to use my HM-901 as a wearable IEM connector box when playing with my band. My IEM's are the M-Fidelity SA-43. I will run an S/PDIF cable in parallel with my guitar cable, attached with some strips, and use the HM-901 as DAC and local volume control of the monitor mix.

As an extra application besides listening to recordings, I hope this setup will double as a small portable source for a high quality monitor mix.

Best regards

Soren

Not sure how you are going to wire it up.

Maybe a coax cable between the S/PDIF out on my POD500HD and the S/PDIF in on the HM-901 running in parallel with my guitar cable?

Was wondering if any of you guys have tried the HM-901 paired with earbuds?

Have been enjoying the heck out of this combo in recent times: HM-901 + Balanced Card + Blox TM7
