Out $500 and very disappointed in SwimSonny - Page 3

The admins should be contacted and at the very least they could tag his account with a warning to others saying he has been guilty of bad deals and buyers should not do business with him. Even though you probably won't get your money back if you want to hurt the guy hurt him where it would hurt the worst, his credibility. If word got out he cheated you I doubt many companies would want his review services for their products. You've taken the correct first step in exposing this guy to the head-fi community. I suggest you take the next logical step and expose him for what he is on YouTube and Facebook, he has accounts there. Good luck, hope this hasn't poisoned head-fi as a community for you. Most people on here are pretty honest people, in my experience

The mods and admins are aware of this and being discussed offline.

I'm not seeing anything to warn others about these issues with Swimsonny is this being addressed at all?

Yeah I see him posting on threads as if nothing has happened. He has go to be banned.

Mods don't go around banning just on the word of posts here. So far Eliteoomph & Spanish have written here to be victims of which Spanish has since deleted his complaint.

I don't know if Eliteoomph has made a report but I don't recall seeing a report from Spanish, not to mention these cases occurred some time ago. That means mods need to do quite a bit of offline followups, digging into history.

For the rest of you who are not victims but merely following, are verging on flame baiting.

Do not forget there are two sides to a story which need to be followed up. Either hit report with solid evidence or this thread will be closed.

I've been following this thread since the beginning and there's been nothing posted in regards to a resolution for either complaint from Swimsonny or the members who have apparently had issues. Personally I find it a bit worrisome when multiple issues have been brought up and there's little to warn others of possible problems, especially when the member is one who routinely passes himself off as a reviewer looking for product from manufacturers. I've seen the damage leaving issues like this can have, I'm sorry if my concern for the community and it's members seems like flame baiting.

Again, from this thread I see only 1 current complaint Eliteoomph. Of which actually has been followed up (as you may have seen the Mod Edit). I don't know the result of that investigation because that was prior to me being a mod but I'll ping Currawong about it.

As for Spanish's case, he posted, then deleted his post. We are talking to him. Again note that even though he posted (and subsequently deleted) end of August, the issue he encountered was, as quoted from him, "a few months ago". This makes it very hard for mods to chase up something that occurred some time ago especially when it wasn't reported then and there.

So I'm not certain where "multiple issues have been brought up" from unless there's another supposed victim of whom I missed. The initial poster hasn't even logged into HF since March 18th. Again I urge the subscribers to not be so quick to jump the gun when all the facts hasn't been investigated.

Eliteoomph and Spanish both having issues counts as multiple issues, does it not?

Spanish's post is on the previous page, as I said I've been following this from the start so I didn't notice that he had deleted it.

Let's be clear...there is a difference between an issue and "claimed issue". Unless you have further information which you'd like to share with us?  Please feel free to PM the mods. As mentioned, we're still information gathering here so all information will help.

On this note, I'm locking this thread until investigation is done. If anyone has any further evidence otherwise, please feel free to PM the mods.
