Schiit Audio? Not as good as we seem to think?

I've heard people had issues with the lyr, is this still present?
Have they fixed it?
I don't want to spend $200 on an amp and DAC and have them destroy my cans.

My Lyr blew up every headphone I have tried with it. It caused my Lcd-2's to catch fire and a shock wave went through my living room similar to that of a supernova remnant.

 

They installed a relay that fixed the problem.....

The lyr is a beast of an amp. Love it!! No issues at all.

Few points.  

 

They Lyr is not $200.  It's $449.

 

A little prevention goes a long way.  On solid state amps, turn amp on.  Wait.  Plug in headphones.  Listen.  Unplug headphones.  Turn amp off.  Doing this will prevent all damage, well, unless you also want to damage your ears at the same time.

10 years later he'll still be getting PMs and emails about the relay I bet.

I think it's been fixed for like about what? Two years..sure seems like it.

There isn't a single valid or valuable bit about this thread, OP....mods should just remove it. Hundreds of views are going to rack up because of the thread title, just to realize what a meritless waste of space this is...wow.
