I bought these back in October and have only been able to enjoy them in the last couple of weeks (i.e. from late April 2013 after ordering in October 2012). I can't stress enough how important it...
Based in the reviews I read here I purchased the SR80i last July 2012.

I'd stay away from the E17 unless your source allows digital out. If you have a computer as your source, you can use the E17's DAC function-if you are using just about anything else (iPhone, etc) you would have to use the E17 as an amp only-so if you don't use a computer, don't waste money on a DAC you won't use.
Most Amperior users with an E17 seem to be very content with the upgrade in sound quality. I wouldn't discount it based on whether OP is going to use its DAC function or not considering it's jam packed with other features.

I'm sure, just pointing out that if he wouldn't use the DAC, there are better amps to be had for ~$150.
