GPU interference when charging E07K?

I recently purchased an E07K to amp my DT770 Pro 80 ohm headphones.  It works great and really makes my headphones sound alot better.  However, I do seem to be having an issue.

 

I have my setup like this  Headhponts>E07K>Xonar DX.  I do not really use this for portable use, just at my computer.  So whenever I try to listen to my headphones and charge it at the same time I notice some strange static.  That static increases majorly when gaming on my PC since the GPUs ramp up.  I have tried unplugging all other USB devices with no luck.  IF I charge and use it as a DAC and unplug it from my sound card, then there is no static.

 

Any solutions?  Or am I just kind of SOL?  Would I be better off using something like an E9?  I know its overkill.  I also read somewhere that the E9 is not ideal for the 80ohm dt770s due to something with 10ohm output?

Why don't you just use the E07k as a DAC?

 

Did you already try raise the volume of the Xonar DX to max before amping?

My xonar DX starts to clip or distort at max volume for some reason.  The frequency bars all go way up to +20 Db and starts to sound awful.  So I keep my xonar DX at 50%.  I want to use it to amp my xonar because my Xonar has simulated surround which is nice in games and the options are kind of nice for music.

Which frequency bars are those? Is this some equaliser thing, or just the Windows volume control that you have put to maximum?

they are the ones in the Xonar DX control panel.

 

 

I may even just look into a USB wall charger for this to bypass the noise from the PC.
