IEM with an LCD-2 like sound?

I'm looking for an IEM that focuses on bass and mids. I want the bass to be soild and punchy, and I want the mids to be full and present. I would prefer if it were a straight down IEM, but if there are none, then over-ear would be fine. If possible, could you suggest one straight down IEM and one over-ear IEM? SO far, the miles davis tribute seems to fit my bill, what do you guys suggest?

TDK BA200 does that great, but I'm *sure* the level of detail is nowhere near the LCD-2.

The GR07, JVC FXZ200, UM3X, Sony EX1000, SM3, Grado GR10 offers solid bass, great midrange details, clear highs and few offers wider soundstage.

Heir Audio 8.A - closest I have heard to legendary sound of the LCD-2.2

 

For a more realistic price, you might want to check out the new Heir Audio 5.0 UIEM, it looks promising and you won't have to hassle with customs. They are said to have a similar sound signature to the 8.A. Good luck!

Thanks for the suggestions guys. I wouldn like to clarify something though, I don't want the IEM to be close to the LCD-2 in terms of detail, I just want the sound signature to be similar. I'm perfectly fine with it being technically inferior. I also forgot to mention, my budget is 400 dollars (I'm able to stretch it a bit though). I also don't want any customs.

Of all i have tried the sound signature of the LCD2 is the most in the Fanmusic MS-E1011. It is not close in details or technical ability but sound signature is close.

My vote goes to the SM64. Midforward, great punchy bass and highs just like the track needs them.

Take this with a grain of salt because I never had the honor to listen to the LCD2....

I forgot to mention something, I want to use it without an amp, so its impedance can't be too high.

probably not in your range, but i owned the westone es-5 and lcd-2 simultaneously and i was able to get them to sound nearly identcal with a little eq.

Sure 535.  Midrange bloom with slight treble roll off and good bass.  I'd imagine it's the closest thing.  Unless you go customs.

That might be a mistake...YMMV

After I started using an amp,the SQ was improved,on all my IEM's

I use a small desktop amp-

&

recently bought a Fiio E-11

I actually own a fiio e11, but I half of the time I won't be using it to be honest. I'm fine with it sounding better than an amp, I just don't want it to depend on one.

 

Something else I would like to add, I want a lot of bass quality, not just quantity. I also want good drums reproduction.

To anyone who owns the sony EX600, is it as unforgiving of poor sources as the EX1000? I was interested in the EX1000 but I heard its really unforgiving, and some of my music wasn't recorded very well.
