Will do my best. I know the wife may also be a bit hurt if I am gone for 1.5 to 2 weeks and the day after I get back I go hang out with my Head Fi buddies! I may convince her though by playing up my b-day. We'll see...

Hello,

very very very new beginner - but this site is such a great resource.  I am just getting started and I saw you are having a meet in VA in May - I was thinking of coming to see what this is all about - I am still trying to learn the language.  I am interested in mostly the side of using a laptop + usb dac + iem.  I just purchased a Fiio E10 and a pair of Klipsch S4A II to use with my PC.  I have been reading about what is the best software and would like to see and maybe hear what other people use.  

How do people feel with a beginner showing up and asking a thousand stupid questions?

Thanks for the friendly invites - so far so good - I have been lucky for the most part to keep the packages from ebay hidden from the wife, well except for today when she open my latest purchase and found my Brainwavz Beta iems and said "these look cool maybe i should keep them" - oh no

Isn't that a holiday weekend?  I'll try to make it but may be tied up.  It looks like there will already be a GSX.2 there and my tube amps don't travel so I don't have that much to add.

Why dont your tube amps travel? There shouldnt be any reason you cant bring at least one of your tube amps to share.  :)

+1 I'd love to hear the Apex Peak and the Mapletree. Although I understand if you don't want to bring all of that expensive gear out. I will be bringing $500-650 out, not nearly as risky as you. ;)

Oh my gosh, that sounds awesome! We should totally have a Head-Fi room! If you're looking to book people though, talk to Justin of Headamp; he might bring out a Stax SR-009 electrostatic headphones and their own Blue Hawaii electrostatic tube amp.

I support this!  I will definitely be in attendance either way, but a Head-Fi room would be pretty spectacular.

Come on if i can bring my 5 tube amps i think you can bring one at least i mean yours are even hybrids so no output transformers to worry about and your mapple tree is extremely light in comparison to some im bringing.
