I am coming! I may have to go to Europe some time in spring for a week and 1/2 for work. The dates are not yet finalized and with the sequester, who knows? IF work does not send me away, I am coming! This will be a day before my b-day! what a nice way to celebrate! 

WoW! I just saw that we will have the DNA Stratus there! What a treat! I so wanted to hear it before taking the plunge. This one is next on my list, after I recover from the GSX purchase.

 

I may bring some gear. I am considering bringing my Phonitor and the DNA Sonett, HD 800, HE-6 and ipod with CLAS

I will also bring a crown d75a power amplifier. It has a headphone output that is un padded and in parallel with the speaker outputs, so I suspect it could drive the he-6 extremely well . I'd love to try it with an he6 if anyone is willing to let me.

I'll make this offer if anyone's interested.  I can bring my firmware-modded PS3 which can rip the DSD ISO layer of Super Audio CDs (SACD).  You can then use the ISO with programs like JRiver and Foobar or you can extract the individual DSF/DFF track files and manipulate however you want.  In the interest of time, you'd get the ISO and you can do the rest on your own.

 

It takes around 5-10 minutes per disc, I'd say.  You're responsible for bringing your own hard drive or USB drive. 

 

Respond if there's interest.  If there's not, I'll just leave it at home.

No problem!  Also, if you want, and we have time, we can play your (anyone's) SACD material through the Meitner MA-1 in native DSD.

 

 

That would be great.  I'll bring my Jazz at the PawnShop SACDs just incase anyone want a DSD copy.

Dang RHMMMM, that would be sweet, if only I had SACDs  Guess I have to out and buy some SACDs  My Head-Fi'er impulse.

What do we do in this meet? I want to go, but it seems too advanced for me.

All we do is bring headphone gear (if we have it), set it up on a series of tables in a big room, and spend a few hours walking around and trying out everybody's stuff and seeing how it sounds.   

  

It's a lot of fun and really educational especially if you are thinking about buying a new set of headphones in the future.

just show up and listen to some gear. and chat with folks. learn tons and scout your new purchase. or not..... whatever floats your boat.

last meet I listened to the GSX -- hooked! making moves now to acquire one of the next batch . 

 

Looks like this one is shaping up already to be better than the last one. And I loved the last one!

BTW, if anyone is interested in purchasing a Phonitor or the Sonett, let me know I will will make sure I bring them. No pressure to buy. Just let me know if you want to audition. I will make sure I grab them. 

I'm interested.  I have never gone to a meet before.  I have the asgard 2/modi as my dac/amp and HE-500 and HD650.  

What you have is not as important as the fact that you show up and share. the more, the merrier. Just show up!
