I don't think this should be happening, but the spoken parts of a song are only played on one side of the headphones. I'm not sure if it's a DJ feature or a faulty set.

is it only the vocals? I'm thinking its defective though because I've tried an m80 where the vocals where so recessed that you couldn't hear them at all...

Try the other cord. If that doesn't work contact monoprice. They have great customer service
Hey guys. I had this problem too. I found out that I didn't put the cable in far enough. Hurp Derp. Oh well.
