Took me a while to warm up to Cavalli's new look, as I really liked the fun splashes of color on the original LF and LL.
The new amps however are gorgeous. Those recent photos do a good job at capturing some of it, but you have to see them in person to get the full effect. The feel of the casework for instance is some of the highest quality I've ever encountered, and the subtle contrast between it and the front panel is nice. On that note, the LL2's front panel is an improvement over the LG's in my opinion. While it looks mostly the same, Dr. Cavalli decided to go for slightly more visible etching which is a better balance between visibility and "stealth." Also it's less prone to smudges; you might not expect a matte metal surface like that to be a smudge magnet, but it's kind of like a suede jacket in that respect. The volume control has very good knob feel (tee hee), and the white LEDs aren't too bright in my opinion.
Of course none of this would matter much if the amps in question didn't sound fantastic, and in my opinion they sound even better than they look.
