FiiO E10 sibilance

Hey guys,

 

I just bought a new FiiO E10 about a month ago, and paired it with my Shure SRH940s which I bought a couple months ago. The amp sounds amazing except that I think it may be causing some sibilance. If I leave it plugged into my laptop for about 15-20 minutes without playing anything, I hear sibilance in all my songs. Only when I re-plug it does the sibilance go away. Does anyone have any ideas as to why this happens? Thanks guys.

It is not the E10, but your OS reset its USB Audio setting and doesn't reset it correctly. I have the same problem with all of my USB class 1 DAC with Windows 8 but not on Vista (of the same PC). It is kind of a known problem on Windows 8 anyway (and affect W7 as well, AFAIK). There is no known solution as far as I know.
