+1 this.

But If you had to choose only between the two of them, a lot of people are saying the XB700 sounds better.  I do like the new look of the XB800 though.

thank you very much at all really! I decided between XB700 and XB500, XB500 prefer because as recommended by the review have a more balanced sound! and then because the XB700 are too big for my taste!
Now my question is here, between XB500 and xb800 what do you recommend?

I've owned the XB1000, XB700 and XB500.

The XB1000 lacks bass, and is bright. I returned them.

XB700 brings you back the sub bass and a bit of punch and less fatigue.

XB500 has the most bass but is quite muddy/boxy.

The XB700 is my fav, it really sounds like a cleaned up XB500.

+1 on this. I feel the same way. The xb500 may have more quantity of bass, but the sub bass of the xb700 is so enjoyable plus I find the overall sound quality of the xb700 to be better. Sure it's not as balance, but to me, the xb700 it's you going.

I didn't find the xb800 to be anything special.

I love them but they do need to be amped to get the best out of them.

These have the most sub bass of any headphone i own, and this includes the lcd2's

They're pretty hard to get hold of though.

Not necessarily, I've seen them go used on ebay for around $200

I bought mine for around 230 plus shipping

I see that youre in the uk so with the current exchange rate being favorable to the pound in respect to US dollars you should look at american and Canadian ebay for a pair and ask if they will ship international
