C&C BH portable amp paired with samsung gs2 and ultrasone pro 900

I recently purchased the Ultrasone Pro 900s, and needless to say, they're amazing. atsmile.gif

 

Paired with my macbook they sound real nice, but with my samsung galaxy s2, they obviously need more power.

I've been reading through some threads, and am thinking about purchasing the C&C BH portable amp. I'm sure it'll make the headphones sound way better with both my laptop and my phone. 

 

I know the C&C BH amp comes a 3.5-3.5mm interconnect cable, so do I need anything else to use it with my galaxy s2 and laptop?  

If not, is there a cable that will make the sound quality even better that isn't super expensive?

 

Any other suggestions for portable amps (~$100) paired with these would also be much appreciated.

The included cable is decent, most of all offers flexibility, there are options to upgrade though I suggest you take your time and look what suits you for portability. You can find cables on eBay for around $20 - $40.

This silver plated SMSL is rather popular though rather stiff.

All will offer increased sound quality over the stock cable. The problem is with these eBay cables you won't find many with right angle jacks which is preferable for portability, those can stretch up to $50+ and must be found on other websites. If you want to go all out and have a custom made cable, ask in the C&C thread at your options.

That's great. I appreciate your response and expertise. I'll look into each of the cables and decide which one seems best. They're all around $20 so I doubt there is much difference in performance.

Looking forward to hearing your impressions if you decide to go the C&C route.

I have the Mad Dogs and a galaxy s2 (whose dac I personally think sounds like schiit compared to my schiit modi) and am still waiting on some reviews to see how well it sounds. Have you thought about experimenting with a different source?

Yeah I have thought about it. I read through some reviews, and it seemed like the C&C BH was a pretty solid choice, although I'm not set on getting it just yet. Any recommendations or experiences you've had?
