Some people will accept personal subjectivity over objective measurements (or lack of) and have a lot in common with religious people in their beliefs.

Contrary to what people keep saying, the velour pads on the HE-500 sound much better than the Leatherette pads! (Finally managed to switch them) They really mellow out the sound and make everything more lush.

Some people's blind-following of "objectivity" is more religious than scientific.

Ah man, thought of another one: Swearing doesn't make you look stupid, thinking it does, does.

The Dude sounds like my kind of guy!  LOL!  wink_face.gif

The objectivity thing sounds like my main issue with the Science Fiction (L. Ron Hubbard) Forum.

Audio seems to be the only Engineering discipline where you only design and quailify via calculations and lab measurements.

The assumption is that humans never listen to or touch the final product.

The guy who designed the LS3/A was part engineer, part artist.

I liked Mel in "Payback: The Director's Cut".

Believe it or not, objective studies show that the length is not a deciding factor in the performance of the tool, where as the circumference and stamina of the user is far more correlated with the quality of the job.
