iPod Touch w/ Fiio L9 vs Sansa w/ Rock Box

Which of these combinations would have a better quality in general?

 

iPod Touch + Fiio L9 + Fiio E6

or

Sansa Clip+ + RockBox Installation + Fiio E6

or

Sansa Fuze+ + RockBox Installation + Fiio E6

 

I'm using the V-Moda Crossfade lps (Don't hate, It sounds great imo)

I can't comment on the first two, but the Sansa Fuze+ is generally not recommended. People usually say that the ui is clunky and the touch controls leave a lot to be desired. If you can nab a Sansa Fuze, that would be better than the "plus".

Looking at the spec of v-modas, you'd probably be better without an amp. Despite what salesmen say they're not magic: adding an amp tp a dap's amp means you get the noise of both, and there's no benefit if the headphones weren't clipping. The crossfades seem to be specced as HD25 rivals and a Clip+ will drive HD25s without any problems. If so: the Clip+ has noise and jitter below audible levels, so you won't improve on it sq with the ipod, and the Clip is cheaper.

Did you get the e6 as well? It's likely wont help anything except volume.

Nope, I've read somewhere that the Crossfades are really easy to drive, therefor an amp is usually not needed.
