I am sad to put by beloved Bottlehead Crack amp for sale. I have had it for about 3 months and it has powered my HD600 to a breathtaking level. It is still in like new condition with no flaws. I have taken many pictures in an effort to show the condition of the amp, but let me know if you want to look at more pictures/specific part of the amp. biggrin.gif

 

All components are stock and was build very carefully. I am very confident with my quality of build and will fix for free should any problem arise. The wood base is also finished and waxed to show the natural color of the wood. The only parts not stock from bottlehead are the tubes. The original tubes were noisy/microphonic so I decided to replace them. Tubes shown in the picture are Tung-Sol 6080 WB (graphite column) and Sylvannia 12BH7. I do have EH 12AU7 (silver pin), so let me know if you prefer that instead of the Sylvannia.

 

This amp is for you if: (1) you have high impedance cans (esp Senns HD6xx/800) and looking for an OTL amp, or (2) you are looking to get addicted with Crack but are unwilling to DIY. Just search around for reviews and threads on head-fi. The hype about crack is NOT without a reason! smily_headphones1.gif

 

I am looking for $420 + shipping. I don't mind shipping overseas if buyer is willing to bear the shipping cost. I will bear the PayPal fee. Will pack very carefully and guarantee that the amp arrives at full working condition as described.

Edit 1: Reason for selling? Upgrading to Crack + Speedball! (possibly with alps pot, mundorf caps, etc) tongue.gif

 

Edit 2: At this price I am not interested in putting speedball on this amp. If you want speedball or other upgrades shoot me a PM, I might be able to build you a new kit.

This one's no where near as clean as your other build!  No offense meant there, but a true artist is known for their talents!

This is one of my first builds, so it doesn't have the pretty layout as the latter ones. That's one reason I am selling this, I want to have a clean layout to satisfy my OCD biggrin.gif Mechanical and electrical integrity should be the same though, I just didn't bother to carefully measure the length of the wires.

Hi, does this come with US voltage? Is it possible to alter it for 230V? Thanks

Yes, this particular one is for 110V.
