Heya,

Look into:

Hifiman HE-400

Ultrasone PRO 2900

Beyer DT990 PRO 250ohm

Sennheiser HD650

AudioTechnica AD900X

If you need source equipment to drive some of these with room to spare, look into a Schiit Modi/Magni, JDS Labs Odac/O2, or AudioGD NFB 12.1, or some decent sound card like a Sound Blaster Zx, etc.

Very best,

Heya,

I would really just go for the best value for your dollar:

Hifiman HE400

Schiit Magni (amp)

Schiit Modi (DAC)

Will retail $600 new.

Very best,

Heya,

Yeap, the ODAC/O2 is an excellent setup as well, simply costs a little more but is essentially the same (equivalent).

Very best,

Heya,

Get the latest revision; if you buy from Head-Direct.com (that's HIfiman's store), it will be the latest revision.

Revision 3 is not sold anymore because it's faulty. If you buy new from any authorized dealers it will be rev 2, the best one.
