Great you got it fixed. If you want to use the file browser, then that should be the best way to copy. Actually I use Musicbee to do my transfers and I have it set to use a artist>album>songs file structure, same as on my PC. Makes using the file browser a snap. The database doesn't have this hierarchy yet so using that can be a little bit confusing.

As far as charging goes, give it 4-6hrs. Takes bout 4 with my 2a. wall charger, never tried doing a full charge off my laptop tho....

Cheers

Thank you all for your support! I have it working with a few albums loaded. I purchased this player for my mother. She is often in a confused state of mind. But good sounding music soothes her soul.

Oddly I love the way the x3 sounds with the e11 going thru the headphone in instead of the line out. Crazy right?

That is really strange. I remember ClieOS saying that the X3's built-in bass boost is actually stronger than the e11, so it seems like using the e11 would just downgrade the signal.

What difference does it make for you guys?

i have that compo too .....
1- the line out of x3 is very powerful so  it sounds clear on e11
2- e11 don't has the same warmness and prominent bass of the headphone out of x3 so it gives more (relatively ) neutral sound
3 - x3 bass boost is more powerful than e11 but it also colores the midrange with its boost .. unlike the e11

Thank you for the description. Seems as if I'll have to dig out my e11 and try this combination.

BTW ... i don't think it worth holding the two together so i use x3 alone most of time :) ... if i want to hook x3 with an amp it would be something better than e11 ............ may be : e12 ... practical devices xm5 .... JDS c5 ( i want that one ) ... O2 ....or RSA amp

Yeah, that's been my understanding as well but since I've got both I might as well give it a try.Just need to charge the e11 since I haven't used it since I got the x3.

Just dug out my EX1000 for the first time in forever.  Always felt too bright to me.  But it ends up pairing quite well with the X3.  I suppose the warmness of the X3 counters the my perceived brightness of the EX1000.  A very pleasant surprise.

Well, maybe I could be happier with a shiny new X5 tongue.gif

I'm strongly considering biting on one of the $299 HE-400s. I'd like to wait for the HE-400i, but I think I'd be better off saving some money and going for the HE-400s. How highly would you recommend them paired with the X3?

Or anyone else?

Cheers!
