Fiio.com.cn still shows FW 1.31 to be the latest?

And as James hasn't announced it(the new firmware) yet, i think you are mistaken?

Sorry, i should have been more clear.

I meant that a new FW version has not been announced yet. The DAC functionality has indeed been announced, and as you said, should be released within the next few FW updates.

yes, we are testing the feature and will ask some user in China to help us test the new firmware cause there are so many kind of OS, and PC/Laptop, it will be better to fix most bugs before we release the formal firmware.

the USB DAC feature in X3 will support up to 192K/24B and need to install a driver in Win XP/7/8 and plug and play in MAC OS without any driver.

and some more news about X3.

1, We have applied the USB VID successful and will included in new firmware, currently the x3 is used the universal USB VID and that is why sometimes it is recognized as Android device. of course, we have to pay for the USB VID.

2, We have apply the MP3 licence and pay for it. this will nothing to the end customer but it is what we are different with other company that we will try to follow all the law and rule like most Western company

about the story of X3, it is just start and you will see more amazing thing in the future.

Looks good, I to keep my e12 in the case when its hooked up. Its usually connected to my iPod though, as the X3 sounds great alone, I do hook it to my X3 sometimes to. I will be waiting for amazon to sell the case. This hobby is just so expensive always something to buy, it well never end.smily_headphones1.gif

Today i took upon me the heavy task of finalising my library. Removing unnecessary tags, removing albumart(will re-add all eventually), cleaning up all other tags, etcetera.

I cleaned up my 63GB of music, totalling 2933 tracks, readded everything to the X3, and everything plays perfectly, both in browse modus, as in play all, and category modi.

One feature I'd like to see added on new firmware is faster scrolling speed. It takes forever to scroll to the middle of my folders on my 64GB card.
