Okay, thanks. Going to check now.

I know that it's been discussed by please allow me to restate for clarification purposes:

1. Put card (64mb) into x3

2. Use guiformat with 32kb cluster for formatting

3. Remove card check library on player

4. Add card back and check library on player again

Correct?

When you say "check library" you are forcing an update, aren't you? I don't have my X3 to hand but you have to press the OK button while the "update library" option is selected.

After the first try, nothing. Same problem. "playback failed, can not locate file." Under system the x3 says that the card is 255gb.  I will try a full format. In three hours I'll have my answer.

dang i was hopeing that would work for you

Thanks for the effort. I'm usually pretty good at resolving these kinds of issues. This one has me stumped.

one other thing i did was put all songs from 1 band in one folder instead a folder for the albums and songs.not sure if that will help.

Yeah, I tried putting just one album one and still nothing. Also tried about 10 gigs.

I received an X3 a couple of weeks ago and really like it. It doesn't seem to have as many quarks as the hm602. Can't say it sounds better but it does play my AIF files without any problems. I like that it came with a cover, too. It makes me want to download more high res files.

So here is my .02 thoughts worth on the X3. I have both the X3 and the Ibasso DX50.. I truly enjoy both for their strengths in sound. I noticed that the X3 is the more musical in presentation in sound, deeper fuller mids and bass vs the more neutral balanced wider stage on the DX50.

This being said. I also noticed more neutral phones synergizing better on the X3 more so than the DX50..So based on that info if any of you guys are wondering what Dap to get. I would base it on what phones you guys own more so than anything. Both have a great sound but will synergize much more so with phones that have the opposite in sound.

The funny thing is I can see many guys wanting more "neutrality" in their sound that will probably go with the DX50 but it will be the X3 that will synergize much better than the DX50 using neutral phones.

Using colored phones on the X3 is a no no by the way.. Will add a bit too much coloration to the sound. That is where the DX50 shines. Either way both are excellent but know that opposites attract when it comes to both these players.

Am I missing something?
Define low bitrate please

That makes me sad. I ordered the VSonic GR07BE specifically to pair with the X3 which I'm going to buy in the coming weeks :(
