interesting to see that the X5 that someone spotted on the X3 in the youtube vid is a reality - it is a higher spec X3 coming out in October !!

As for the review I tried google translate but couldnt get the gist of the sound quality part which is my interest - hopefully someone else can help with that
I have seen the x5 in the video when the first time came out in YouTube . glad a x5 will come out.
Fiio is the way to go!

in China, lots of audiophile bough D50 as hifi player. so the D50 is regarded as a benchmarks of hifi player. so if the SQ is better than D50 , it will become an winner.

so kinda like headfis dx100/HDPR10 (if it can pass DX100 it wins) kinda thing?

I wish I could read all those beautiful reviews. Also I am interested in X5 too. Should we open a thread for it too?

It's not ideal, but you can at least get a taste of the reviews using Google Translate. The best way to use their translation is to install Google Chrome web-browser, because it automatically offers to translate foreign webpages into your native language.

I generally use Internet Explorer or Firefox, but I have Google Chrome installed just for using it when I need to easily translate a foreign webpage smile.gif

Thank you for linking us the informative review. The best line I like was:

The FiiO boss mentioned in the forum group that if the X5 doesn't get its retail release by the end of the year, he'll do a nude run on the street (to apologize?)
Makes me wonder if the pressure is on the engineering / marketing team, or on the boss himself. wink.gif

Just finished reading the X3 review. It was difficult with the bing translation but I understand that this is a very good sounding DAP for the price.

ipod+clip+ all together sound or even better?

Can wait for ClieOS's review.

Well done Fiio!!wink.gif

after 1 month, X3 will launch outside China, what I can say is it worth the long wait. and hope it can be the best reward to our fans.

Fingers crossed, keep on waiting in here.

And with the release of the X3

The world will experience a shortage of 32-64GB micro SD cards

This has been a fun poject to follow. Best of luck James

As the first DAP and at that low price, the X3 really looks attractive. However, after reading the news on X5 at the end of that review, the nude run of Fiio's boss  X5 is even more attractive to me tongue_smile.gif
