Doesn't appear to be. Gotta keep scrolling.  However, I've figure out to just do it by artist, and then have albums underneath the artist, by date.  So as long as I know the artist, the list isn't quite as obnoxious.

I agree - had mine for 2 days and loving it

significant increase in SQ over my Cowon, much brighter, more clarity, more detail. Works a treat with my IE800's which are known for being a bit bassy for some.

Also love the size and weight and the buttons feel great and positive to use. UI is fine by me - I dont get into its intricacies much though - just a basic play and listen guy - not fussed about tags or images or anything else

As you said fantastic bang for the buck - if this is Fiio's entry DAP I'm definitely buying the X5 when it comes out

Can any one tell what would be the best way to connect the X3 to a Meier Audio 2Stepdance, if another way than throught the line-out is possible at all? Thanks. My X3 will arrive sometime this week, so I want to be prepared ;-)

LineOut should do fine, it is an amp after all.

Thanks, but wouldn't it be doubleamped then? And if so does that matter? I'd like to bypass the X3-amp as I do now with my Ipod throught the Appleconnector.

that's exactly what a line out is supposed to do. it will bypass the amp section of the x3, only the headphone out uses the internal amp.

If you connect it through headphone out it will be double amped mate. Hope this helps. Also using lineout, will give you a longer battery on X3. James said 20 hours or something like that I think.

Can you create folders for each letter that contain artists whose name starts with that letter? So rather than say having 400 artists folders to scroll through, you'd have 26 folders initially.

Please beware that the current firmware will not be able to update music files if the folder structure is more than 2 levels.

What do you mean "update music files"?

Can anyone who has owned both the J3 and X3 compare the sound?

This may have been posted somewhere within the 200+ pages of this thread but I can't find it. I am a Noobie and I am about to receive my X3. I want to be ready when it arrives with the right SXDC card to maximize storage. Can someone provide me with a link to a good inexpensive one and tell me in plain English how to format it for FAT32? I am really new to all of this and one generation older than you guys in all likelihood :-)

Thanks,
Russ
