The Fiio X3 Thread. - Page 14

E17 battery is 1500 mAh and AK100 is 2000 mAh, I believe, so the X3 is no slouch. Let's hope the firmware can squeeze a few more hours out of it.

James, do you know the recommended headphone impedence for the X3? Same as the E17? 16-150 ohms?

I think it's like 3000 mAh...

I always wish my iphone5 also has 3000 mAh frown.gif

Looking superb! Finally a reasonably priced and well performing (output impedance 0,5 and so on!) DAP. If this is as good as it looks on paper, it´ll take over the audiophile DAP mainstream market. I just don´t see any real competition even remotely near the same price range right now, only niche products.

I wish they'd call it X4 because I prefer 4 over 3.

Haha but 4 is considered an inauspicious number by many Chinese.

its all over asia I think? not only in china, 4 is generall viewed as the 13 of the western world

Chinese language and empire had a lasting effect on Asia so that may be its universality. Its not feared, but not good luck.

Saying 4 in Chinese sounds like you are saying "die" which is it.

Yes, in fact, it is not a standard answer. you can check the link to get the answer if you want to know one headphone can be drive by an amp to a reasonable sound level. http://www.head-fi.org/t/656132/tips-on-how-to-choose-a-suitable-amplifier-for-your-beloved-headphone

I'm too much of a newbie to understand this chart completely, but it sounds like the X3 is able to "amp" my SM64 (95 Ohm) just right :)
I can't wait to to order one!
