MP3 Player? That simple. I am sorry but this is insulting. X3, considering it is price, gives you high fi playback in many formats. I would call it an perfect value Digital Audio Player. What Cowon and Fruit Brand sells is mp3 player if you want to use that term.

x2! I can't agree more.

James, could you please elaborate how "Favorites" works?

The iPod Classic has many shortcomings but one thing it is fantastic for is creating it's own playlists:

* There is virtually no limit to the number of songs one can include in each playlist (unlike the limitation on the Cowon J3, which is infuriating)

* The iPod Classic allows creation of MULTIPLE playlists (unlike Cowon J3, which only allows one playlist - again, this is infuriating).

* One thing the Cowon J3 is really good for, though, is allowing creation of usable bookmarks, on-the-go.

Anyway, can anyone confirm what capability the X3 has for creation of it's own playlist(s)?

Thanks!

Would be nice if there was a hook on the back so you could attach it to a lanyard.

Very interested, especially since it has the WM8740 DAC chip.

I think that it's smaller but thicker.

Hi James, can you tell us who the first distributors will be to get the Fiio X3 in the USA?

Being in the market for a new DAP, been looking at the DX100/HDP-R10 for a bit now, would it be worth waiting and saving some money and ordering this instead? Or would I have to wait for reviews to know for sure?

If you are just looking for the better sounding of the two, get DX100.
