Hey guys, do you know where can I get this leather case for my X3? (shown in earlier posts)

Thanks

uzi2: actually not. Auto library update is only activated when you connect by USB and access X3 as an external drive. Having the auto-update feature active will not cause X3 to read the card when it powers on. It will look at extant files when you browse by folder but all of your ID3 data is wrong for the new card, which can result in operational problems. Review some earlier posts and you will find that some users think that this is a bug.

You can do this! Not with M3U, but it's not much harder, if not easier to number the song files. I explained this in an earlier post. Using a utility app it goes quick and easy.

Those leather cases look a lot better than the rubber boot that X3 comes with. When I unpacked it and first saw it my reaction was WTF??? This thing doesn't look like the pictures in the add. Man it's UGLY! Then I tried to peel the protective film off the display lens and couldn't get hold of the tab. That's when I realized it was in that funky booty. What the heck is that for anyway? Waterproofing? Shock proofing?

X3 looks OK naked. I like naked motorcycles too, but I guess that's different. Naked girls too, is that different? Oh, well, girls look good in leather too don't they.

I had a cat once that ate leather. Ruined my Birkenstocks, the little freak. I guess he was upset about not having any bacon. Couldn't get him to wear headphones though. Try as I might.

I'm hoping for something that jacks into my auditory nerves and restores higher frequencies I've lost due to loud Walkman and louder concerts in my youth eek.gif

Maybe it can cancel out that damn tinnitus, too!

I wanted to know whether it is worth it to get a proper source/DAP like the FiiO X3/X5 when the best set of IEMs I'll be using with them (for now) are Vsonic VSD3S? My current source is just my Sony Xperia SP handset. Budget is an issue because of which I'm a bit weary. But as I'v come to realise over the years, this IS an expensive hobby to maintain :-/

You won't notice a difference between X3 and your phone if you have a low-end iem and mp3s with it.Are you gonna use it on the go? or at home?

If you'll use it outside don't buy it, you can't hear the extra detail with the noise.

Fiio is putting out a less expensive dap, the X1, but it is not yet finished. You can also consider a budget friendly option like a sansa clip zip or clip+ which has an option of a firmware many people enjoy called rockbox.

You can buy a good iem for that money instead of buying x3.you will notice a big improvement from that

Hey guys do you have an email for the company or person making the case? I got no facebook smily_headphones1.gif or anywhere else i can buy?

You can also try Tuff-Luv cases on e-bay or there web page. I've had mine for a while and it has worked out well.

I use it everywhere, home, work, on the go. I use 320kbps MP3s mostly, but I have started converting my library to FLAC wherever possible.

And yes, I think I should upgrade my IEMs a bit more before thinking about the source, the current low impedance sets won't benefit much even with decent DAPs...

I know, have heard about the X1. Let's see what it's price point is. And availability, which Is an issue where I stay. Though a wise guy once told me, as far as DAPs go, try to go for the best you can directly, no use wasting money in between. Sansa Clip+ is an issue coz here in India, they cost around ~80$, which is bonkers compared to the 35$ is costs elsewhere.
