Official FiiO dealer for my country? ... They look out of question for Fiio X3 at all... wink_face.gif

And my question was not where I have to send something back. I don't want to send anything back.

I want a reliable device. Not just something to send there or overthere.

Well, if you can't return it for service it's not FiiO's fault, it's the fault of the seller you purchased it from. FiiO products are different than others because FiiO stands behind them and works with us to keep us happy. No other company does this,... And if there's no way to ship it back in your country it's not FiiO at fault,...

And btw, stating WHAT country you live in helps,...rolleyes.gif

I don't understand why you think anyone will brick an X3. Just because you had a Colorfly player fail does not mean a FiiO player will fail.

That's easy to understand why I'm worried if you have a closer look.

Have never seen a PC Suite (Recovery / Update) for Ingenic CPU based devices. Have you?

From the manufacturer we can only see X3 is possible to be upgrated from a SD Card.

No solution to be recovered if it is bricked.

Just emagine it is bricked one day. How is it possible to recover? I see no way. Do you?

I don't....but then again, none of the multiple FiiO products I have bought over the years has ever failed.

Sure. But my questions weren't about the service. They were about reliability of the device. About the firmware recovery. Not about where those 'kind people' are when my product purchased is suddenly gets bricked. Least of all I'm intended to buy a product that can't be recovered.

Good point. I have yet to brick a DAP, in the 5 years that I have used them.

You must be joking bigsmile_face.gif

Sure a user doesn't want to brick players like this by just doing some risky actions.

But the truth is one day a user wants to add some files to his player. This is certainly naturally.

And a player like this tries to do Media Library Update automatically.

Is that clear? About Media Library Update process?

And again from my experience - some (not all/not every, but some) some of Chinese players

similar to this DIE / GET BRICKED on this process. This generally happens when a big bunch of files \ folders with files are added.

And only some of them are able to be recovered with your PC.

Do I explain this not in Engish? Why is this still unclear?

I've never had a FiiO product brick on me either,...and having a Colorfly brick on you has nothing to do with FiiO.

Just any product or a player? Or maybe exactly an Ingenic Z4760 CPU player from Fiio?

А player / a DAC / a headphone amplifier they are all different class devices.

Some of them don't trouble you since they don't need a firmware.

Sure, a player is the most complex and unprotected device if is not supported with recovery means.

Again, I like the Fiio's ideas about X3 and perhaps will purchase and try it.

And again what I'm afraid if this model is bricked I see I have no way to recover it.

That's a sad story when Chinese offer us another cat in a sack ....

How do your players get "bricked"?!?

Might it be because you are trying to change stuff yourself?

Or just performing a "normal" FW update?

Maybe you SHOULDN'T update firmwares if all you do is brick the players...

So, list us which players have you bricked on your attempt to JUST ADD FILES TO IT!!!!!!!???

Didn't they just use microSD/SD cards?

Or are you one of those guys that connect the player to the Computer to add files instead of just removing the SD card and attach it via an USB converter/reader to the PC instead?

Maybe the problem is the "tool" behind the keyboard and not the MP3 players...

I don't really understand what your issue is with this product. It hasn't even been released to the mass market yet, and you are assuming it is going to bricked? I've never had any of my DAPs bricked, because I take care of my stuff and don't mess around with the internals and FW unless tested by experts more qualified than myself. Honestly, CileOS is about the only person that is reputable that has the device and he has the "beta" version. Don't you think that the "beta" version would have more bricks than the actual official released version? If there hasn't been any reported bricks yet on more susceptible version (i.e Beta/Early release version) then there probably won't be any at launch. Yes all DAPs have their fair share of growing pains to deal with but I'd guess that FiiO's won't exhibit many at all, they seem to know what they are doing.
