The X5 seems to jumble up the imported list order as well. It needs work.

yes, we will add the playlist support into X3 after X5.

Is it correct that X3/X5 firmware development will run in parallel except for the obvious hardware differences (screen and buttons) and X3's lack of OTG capability.

Quick question - I'm not sure if my micro SD slot is faulty - when I want to remove the card should it pop out slightly if I press it in? Mine just stays in place and I have to pull it out all the way which is very fiddly?

yes it should pop out

If the micro SD card is not popping out then might be the spring problem on the X3

 I'd much rather have sub directory play rather than playlist support... Should be much easier to implement.

I will admit I am not an expert on the X3 user interface. But it seems to me that the unit should reliably go back to what every file folder it was in if set to go back to a certain song on restart. I find this works just fine for hi res files, but on regular flac files I seem to be returned to the main level user interface when rebooting. In particular I have a folder called grateful dead live, then subfolders like rottterdam 72, then subfolders cd 1, cd 2, etc.

Resume on playback does not work properly in this configuration.

Really I would prefer a simplified ui at start up; choice one goes to the biggest folder option (usually the add in memory card); choice 2 goes to second biggest folder, choice 3 goes to bass and treble controls etc.. Also would like to easily get to treble, bass while playing a track.

Do we have confirmation on a X3 mark II talked about on the X1 forum ? If so, I would argue for a look more like the X1, and a usb dac more like the E07 that plays nice with ipods, ipads, etc.

X3 + VSD3S = magic wink.gif

That's a budget portable set up that's hard to beat.

Have to agree that the x1 is the best looking of the three players (esp. silver). I'd still like to keep the current dimensions though (tall and narrow. give it a widescreen and it looks too much like a video player). Don't care about ipod, tablet, smart-phone compatibility myself - esp. if it means driving up the price.
