You know that you don't even need to use the wheel on the X5. The forward/back buttons work in the menus as well.

It's on FiiO's main page as a news item:

Is there something like a compare guide showing all Fiio amps how they fare against each other? I am still toying with the idea to get HD650 but I'm not sure if X3 can drive them properly (I don't have any other amps).

Also, does the amp on X3 work when you connect it as DAC to your PC?

i have beyer dt880 and use no amp, only x3 without gain. i had E12 and sold it. x3 is more than enough for me.

Looks great, just tell your web guys to delete the typo on the product page (Magnetic clip designL) :)

I wish if it has a clip

It's mostly moulded plastic on the back, so you could probably attach a clip very easily.

Alrighty guys, back from some IT fair (Every quarter, there will be at least one such fair for retailers to show off their newest goods and have tons of offers. Google "PC Show 2014 singapore" to have a good idea of what's that). I found a booth showcasing the Fiio products and finally managed to test out the X3 with FW 3.0.

The SQ is indeed different from FW 1.21, vocals and trebles are more emphasized. The soundscape is more detailed than before. I won't say it is more holographic though. As for the UI, I prefer the list based UI from previous FWs. A big plus point is that my TF card works right off the bat, no formatting needed unlike in FW 1.21. Overall, I must say that this test-run is more or less the last straw: I will focus on my summer job next week and hopefully, grab the X3 once my paycheck comes in (unless the DX50 somehow improves exponentially by then)! ;)

But, I am not sure how to play all files from my TF card only. Also, are the buttons supposed to be that hard to press sometimes?
