Foster hp p1 or the Apex Glacier?

I'm currently running a headstreamer mobile with my Note 2 into a DT 770.  I just don't quite get the umph that I want from the headstreamer.  I could get an amp for it, but I was thinking of just getting something better as a combo.

 

So which one sounds better?

The Fostex HP-P1 only works with Apple devices.

Will it work with a ipod video gen 5? Any opinions on sound quality between the two.

I could go either android or ipod.

Unfortunately the HP-P1 only supports the iPod Classic (and Touch, Nano, iPad, iPhone).

 

Haven't tried the Glacier but I did own its predecessor (TTVJ Slim). It's quite powerful and had no problem driving my 600ohm DT770. 

I am not sure which DT770 you have (the 80ohm version, a bass monster, is quite different form the other DT770s), but the Apex should be a good match for the 250 and 600ohm versions, which are kind of neutral.

 

I have no experience with the HP-P1.

Thanks for the input.

Mine is the 80 Ohm version. I also have a gen 1 itouch and an iphone 3gs.
My options are open at this point.
